What steps is the Artisan Home Tour taking for guests’ health and safety?

The safety and well-being of our attendees, builders, and partners is our top priority. For that reason, we moved the Artisan Home Tour from June to October this year. To provide a safe and enjoyable event, we will be following all CDC, federal, and state recommendations regarding COVID-19.

While visiting the homes, please follow these guidelines for your safety and the safety of those around you:

  • If you are sick, stay home. Contact the builder for options on setting up a private showing or virtual tour at a later date.
  • Masks are required for all attendees.
  • Foot coverings/booties will be required for all attendees. Socks without coverings and shoes will not be allowed.
  • The number of people allowed in the home at one time will be limited. If the home is full, please wait until you are notified that it’s acceptable to enter.
  • Maintain 6 feet of separation while waiting to enter the home and within the home as your tour. This may require waiting to enter a hallway or a room until the people ahead of you have left the area. Thank you for your consideration and patience.
  • Do not open cabinet doors and do not touch surfaces.
  • If you do not have a ticket, we encourage you download the Artisan Home Tour app and purchase your ticket online.
  • Ticketholder acknowledges, accepts, and assumes all risk in his/her participation and attendance in the tour which is undertaken with the knowledge and risk of the possibility of injury, illness, harm, and/or death, including without limitation, potential exposure to COVID-19. Ticketholder waives and discharges Housing First Minnesota and its members, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability resulting from any harm to Ticketholder. Ticketholder warrants he/she has not exhibited any COVID-19 symptoms (i.e. fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat or flu-like symptoms during the past 14 days).

When does the Artisan Home Tour occur?

The Artisan Home Tour runs for three long weekends in October. Homes are open Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m-5 p.m. New Artisan homes are open all three weekends; remodeled Artisan homes are open the final weekend only.

Is there a charge to attend the Artisan Home Tour?

Yes, you must have a ticket to tour any of the homes. A Tour Ticket allows you to visit all of the homes once and go to one home for a second visit. Tour Tickets can be purchased online at ArtisanHomeTour.org, in the Artisan Home Tour app, at one or more retail outlets, and at any of the Artisan Homes (purchasing online or through retail outlets includes a discount). Single-home tickets can be purchased at any home for $5. All adults and children six years of age or older are required to have a ticket to enter the homes.

How do I get my ticket when I buy online?

When ordering online at ArtisanHomeTour.org, your ticket will be emailed to you. Please print your ticket or show your ticket on your smartphone when visiting the homes.

What charity does the Artisan Home Tour support?

The Artisan Home Tour helps to support the work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization composed of Housing First Minnesota members and supporters who contribute their time, materials and expertise to help the Foundation build and remodel safe housing for Minnesota’s homeless, veterans and others in need.
