This fall, the public has an opportunity to help area families in need when they visit two Remodeled Dream Homes during the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase Sept. 30 through Oct. 2. When visitors tour these beautifully remodeled homes, they pay a tax-deductible $5 admission, which supports work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, the charitable arm of Housing First Minnesota. There is also an option to purchase an all-access pass for the Dream Homes that allows visitors to tour each of the five new Dream Homes and the two Remodeled Dream Homes for a discounted price. All-access passes must be purchased online.

The Foundation builds, remodels and repairs homes for Twin Cities veterans and families in need, often in partnership with local charities and organizations.

This fall’s Remodeled Dream Homes are:

Che Bella Interiors Design and Remodeling
655 Crystal Lake Rd. E.
Burnsville, MN

This remodeled lakeside home was crafted by a designer to welcome her friends and family. Rift-sawn white oak cabinets reside in the kitchen — the island base is stained, and the remaining cabinets are painted white. French white oak floors adorn the main floor and stand up to lake life. A 10’x5’ island with seating is oriented to the lake, while a 22’x14’ great room addition completes the main floor. The owner’s bathroom and bedroom feature a tranquil vibe — a lovely escape to begin and end each day. The lower level lends itself to play, designed intentionally to be welcoming and shared by many, and includes a living space, bar, and playroom.

Highmark Builders, Inc.
14290 Zumbro Avenue
Shakopee, MN

Nestled among century-old oak trees outside of Shakopee sits a stunning European-style farmhouse Highmark Builders was honored to turn into a generational heirloom. Guests are now welcomed by a large white oak front door that opens to a stunning new foyer featuring a black herringbone slate floor and vintage lighting fixtures. Once inside, the cast-stone fireplace, large windows, and impressive vaulted ceiling showcased with reclaimed beams leave all eyes in awe. But it is the new dining room addition, executive kitchen, home gym, and owner’s suite that transform this home into a modern marvel worthy to call home.

The 2022 Fall Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase is sponsored by Marvin and LP Building Solutions.
