This spring, the public has an opportunity to help area families in need when they visit the Remodeled Dream Home during the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase March 31 – April 2. When visitors tour this beautifully remodeled home, they are asked for a tax-deductible $5 admission, which supports the work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, the charitable arm of Housing First Minnesota. The Foundation builds, remodels and repairs homes for Twin Cities veterans and families in need.
The thousands of people who contribute $5 to tour the Dream Homes during the Remodelers Showcase and the Parade of Homes tour are a major source of funding for the Foundation.
Tickets to tour the Remodeled Dream Home are available online at ParadeofHomes.org and at the home. An all-access pass to tour all five new Dream Homes and the Remodeled Dream Home can be purchased online at ParadeofHomes.org.
This spring’s Remodeled Dream Home is:
#R21 by HBRE – Home Building and Remodeling Experts
5601 Logan Avenue S.
Minneapolis, MN 55419
For the homeowners, this South Minneapolis location was great, but the size of the existing home was no longer ideal. HBRE – Home Building and Remodeling Experts designed and rebuilt the main level, added a full second level, and finished the majority of the basement. In total, the home’s finished space increased substantially, and the staircase was moved to maximize the layout of the first-floor great room. The whole-home remodel now includes three bedrooms plus an owner’s suite, and the bathrooms increased from two to four. Both a porch and a fireplace were added as featured and functional accents. All exteriors were also replaced to update the look and reduce maintenance.
The 2023 Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase is sponsored by Marvin.
