Visitors to the Artisan Home Tour will help support the BATC Foundation, the charitable arm of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC), with every ticket they purchase. The Foundation will receive $10 for every TourTicket sold and $2.00 for every single-visit ticket to the Artisan Home Tour.

For 21 years, the Foundation has tapped the talents and resources of their member builders, remodelers, and suppliers to help families who otherwise might not have the opportunity to have a safe and affordable home. The Foundation builds, remodels and repairs homes for Twin Cities families in need, often in partnership with local charities and organizations.

An Evening of Dreams

The public is invited to join the BATC Foundation for an Evening of Dreams, a fund-raising party on the evening of June 16, 2016 at Artisan Home #17 by Swanson Homes, located at 4645 St. Andrews Street, Orono, MN 55364. A $50 donation per person will let attendees enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and the music of world renowned acoustic guitarist Billy McLaughlin as they tour this luxurious new Artisan Home.

2016 Projects are Veteran Focused

Three projects scheduled for this summer will help area veterans. The largest project is the Foundation’s first HomeAid Twin Cities build. This new program of the Foundation is under the banner of the HomeAid program nationally, which concentrates their efforts for the homeless. The Foundation’s project involves moving a 15 year old duplex a short distance, pouring a basement and foundation, rehab work and landscaping on the new lot. The home will be turned over to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans to provide transitional housing for homeless families. The two other veteran related projects include replacing siding for an Oakdale veteran and helping with repairs on an Oak Park veteran’s home.
