Parade Home #108 by Nor-Son, Inc.
1168 Symphony Lane, Chaska priced at $1,870,000

A True Trophy Home

Drive up to this gorgeous Colorado-styled Dream Home and you will feel like you’ve been transported to an Alpine lodge. Warm and inviting, the exterior’s deep brown Cedar shake and beveled beam siding is enhanced by Indian Creek stone that creates a solid connection to the earth. The center gable shows off with a distinctive flare and intricate beam-work, which truly says ‘you’ve arrived.’

And that’s only the beginning. Step inside and you will find a comfortable, functional yet dramatic setting for family gatherings and quiet evenings at home. Thoughtful design creates a space for living life to the fullest, while every room is detailed with care.

Design-wise, traditional living spaces (great room, kitchen, dining, bedrooms and baths) are enhanced with some not-so-traditional rooms like the media room, game room, vaulted outdoor porch and a hunter’s paradise: trophy room with billiard table. The owners’ suite is situated in a wing of its own, boasting an office, exercise room and laundry in addition to the spacious bedroom, bath and walk-in closet.

Convenience is evident at every turn. The kitchen comes equipped with state-of-the-art appliances from Wolf and Sub-Zero. Roll-down screens turn the porch into a perfect retreat from mosquitoes in summer while the wood-burning Indian Creek stone floor-to-ceiling fireplace takes the chill off November evenings.

Drama takes center stage with unique details like the reclaimed timber trusses at the great room vault and the second floor-to-ceiling Indian Creek stone fireplace in the media/recreation room. Nor-Son has accomplished meeting their clients’ every desire while creating a home of unmatched beauty. This should be a first-stop on your Parade of Homes tour — and your $5.00 donation will support the BATC Foundation’s efforts to help Twin Cities families in need.

Parade Home #114 by Charles Cudd De Novo

Another Extraordinary Home from a Master Builder

This delightful Dream Home is tucked into Stonecrest, Wayzata’s newest custom home neighborhood. An enclave of only five heavily wooded lots that are each approximately two acres in size, Stonecrest is within walking distance of downtown Wayzata. Even better, at least four of the homesites boast Charles Cudd De Novo designs (there’s one homesite left).

The New England styled shake exterior creates a stunning package for a simply spectacular family home, which is nestled into a densely wooded cul-de-sac. Its 6,600 finished square feet extends to three levels, including a two-level sport court.

The main floor is a sumptuous feast, whether entertaining guests or relaxing with family after a long day at the office. Graceful arches and a plethora of built-ins and clever niches combine with dramatic beams and expressive architectural details to create a truly elegant and custom feel.

Four bedrooms and three baths provide privacy for family members upstairs, while the lower level offers plenty of casual fun with a full custom-built wet bar and TV entertainment center, exercise room and large family room. A private guest bedroom and bath is also situated on the lower level

Distinctively High-Tech

There’s something for everyone in our Afton Dream Home by Divine Custom Homes. This gorgeous lodge-style home is set on four beautiful acres, and designed to take full advantage of the site’s breathtaking views. High-tech features, a hidden study, and even special spaces for dogs make this as much experience as it is home.

This true smart home’s full automation system can be managed via phone or iPad to access and adjust everything from lights to audio and home theater to a four-camera security system. A business class wireless system means that looking up a recipe online in the kitchen, sending a work email from the owners’ suite or checking traffic from the garage will never be a problem.

While its advanced technology makes life convenient for the entire family, the lower level is designed for entertaining — think World Series fan party. The theater’s 120-inch big screen TV and audio system is open to the 10-seat bar to ensure no one will miss a grand slam just because they needed a few more nachos.

You’ll definitely love this Dream Home’s unique study/getaway space. Located on the upper level and tucked into the home’s turret, the octagonal wood ceiling and hidden bookcase door combine with built-ins and sitting lounge to create the perfect getaway/office. It’s connected via an impressive iron spiral staircase to the owners’ bedroom and on down to the wine cellar in the lower level. Rustic wood, inlaid brick and walnut racks for 750 bottles create the right ambiance, while LED lighting and the fully operational chiller ensures the perfect environment, even for a Dom Perignon.

Divine Custom Homes has designed and constructed a truly exceptional home that even a dog would love. Seriously, a hidden pet doorway leads from mud room to an indoor/outdoor dog kennel where canines can live in luxury, even enjoying their own private dog wash.

There are so many other incredible features that you’ll surely want to make this distinctive Dream Home a priority this Fall. And, your $5.00 donation will help support the BATC Foundation as they build and remodel homes for Twin Cities’ families in need.
