Over 60 items sold in both silent and live auctions
The BATC Foundation hosted its second annual silent auction during the 2012 BATC Awards of Excellence Gala held on Saturday, October 13th, 2012, at the Marriott Southwest hotel in Minnetonka. Almost 300 BATC members attended the gala that recognized the best of BATC members’ homes and companies in a variety of awards (please see the awards press release).
The Foundation solicited donations of auction items over the past several months, and received support from over 60 companies and individuals. (see list below). The silent auction raised over $30,000 that will support the Foundation’s work building and remodeling homes for area families in need.
The two top donations, a Cambria kitchen countertop package worth $4,500 and a home theater system from Admit One worth $10,000, were opened up to a live auction during the awards ceremony. Bob Bennett from Fireside Hearth and Home served as auctioneer and encouraged attendees to get out their checkbooks. The Cambria kitchen top bidder at $4,500 was Tony Sonnen, Gonyea Homes, and the home theater went for $6800, to Carla Warner, Warners’ Stellian.
