BATC-Housing First Minnesota is honored to name Rep. Pat Garofalo (District 58B, Farmington) as the recipient of its Legislator of the Year Award. BATC-Housing First Minnesota’s Legislator of the Year Award is given to a member of the Minnesota Legislature who has championed housing issues and industry legislative priorities.
“Throughout his career in office and during the 2018 legislative session, Rep. Garofalo has championed legislation that will have a positive impact for Minnesota homebuyers for years to come,” said Tom Wiener, president of BATC-Housing First Minnesota.
As chair of the Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance Committee, Rep. Garofalo prioritized housing affordability discussions, shining light on the compound impact of regulations on affordability, and elevating the housing debate to new heights.
“Rep. Garofalo understands how our housing market drives Minnesota’s economy, and is always looking for innovative solutions to helps us meet the needs of Minnesota families and homebuyers,” said Wiener.
The awards were presented during BATC-Housing First Minnesota annual Building Industry Gala on Oct. 25.
