In commemoration of the life of Jim Stanton, Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) Executive Director David Siegel issues the following reflection on behalf of the organization.
“Jim Stanton was a Minnesota housing industry giant. As one of the metro area’s most influential builders and developers, Jim leaves a legacy throughout the Twin Cities with a diverse portfolio that included developing lots, building homes, and recently bringing condos to Minneapolis.
“Jim was also a leader in elevating the housing industry’s advocacy efforts. He understood how important it was to build homes affordably and he devoted countless hours over the past three decades to this cause. Just 10 days ago Jim was at BATC with his peers in a planning meeting and as always, he was looking forward to opportunities to continue to elevate the housing industry.
“He was a man with a great sense of humor and was truly one of a kind. Jim will be greatly missed.”
Stanton held a wide range of industry leadership roles and has received several awards for his service with the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. He was the 2010 recipient of BATC’s Robert L. Hansen Award for industry service.
