ROSEVILLE, MINN. (Aug. 23, 2018) — The Fall Parade of Homes, in its 70th year, is presented by BATC-Housing First Minnesota. This tour offers 427 new homes to tour Sept. 8-30, 2018, Thursdays through Sundays from 12-6 p.m.

  • All the homes are free to tour with the exception of four Dream Homes for charity. Visitors are asked to make a $5 contribution to the BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation to enter.
    Dream Homes include:

    • #138 by Homes by Tradition in Lakeville, priced at $2,120,000
    • #154 by Highmark Builders in Prior Lake, priced at $3,600,000
    • #182 by Carl M. Hansen Companies in Edina, priced at $2,990,000
    • #186 by Trestle Homes, LLC in Minneapolis, priced at $1,850,000
  • A free, comprehensive guidebook provides complete information about the tour, including maps, descriptions and images of all the homes, and will be available at area Holiday Stationstores beginning on Aug. 25, 2018
  • A comprehensive companion website offers a variety of search filters plus additional information about each builder at ParadeofHomes.org. Online visitors can use the Tour Planner to map routes between selected homes and save and share homes of interest with family and friends.
  • Editorial in the guidebook includes our cover story on a real family’s homebuilding experience, a calendar for special Parade of Homes events and a style section which showcases the latest home design and décor trends featured on this summer’s Artisan Home Tour.
  • The Parade of Homes will feature the Green Path Energy Efficiency Tour sponsored by Xcel Energy. Homes on this tour are a part of the utility companies’ efficient new home construction program and go above and beyond code requirements to deliver greater energy savings. All these homes can be found online at paradeofhomes.org by filtering for “Green Path Energy Efficiency Tour” and some are noted in the Guidebook with a green flag.
  • There are also more than 280 homes on this fall’s tour that were tested by an independent energy rater, and have been assigned a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rating. These homes can show visitors a Green Path Home Performance Report (HPR) that graphically explains the home’s energy test results and allow homebuyers to compare expected energy use between homes.
  • The lowest priced home is #350 at $199,900. The two-bedroom, one-bath townhome is located in Becker and built by Price Custom Homes
  • The most expensive home at $3,600,000 is home #154, located in Prior Lake from Highmark Builders. The modern Minnesota lodge is one of this fall’s four Dream Homes.
  • There are a total of 34 homes priced over $1,000,000 and 17 priced $300,000 or under. The total value of all homes on the tour is $256,097,314
  • Homes are located throughout the region, with Lakeville (38), Plymouth (28), Woodbury (27) and Lake Elmo (25), having the most homes to tour. Closer in, Minneapolis, Mendota Heights, Golden Valley and Shoreview are all represented on the tour, with Edina coming in with four homes. Outlying cities with Parade Homes include Faribault, Watertown and Somerset, WI.
