ROSEVILLE, MINN. (Aug. 2019) — The Fall Parade of Homes, presented by BATC-Housing First Minnesota, opens Sept. 7 and offers 385 new homes to tour all across the Twin Cities metro. Homes are open Sept. 7-29, Thursdays through Sundays from 12-6 p.m.

  • All the homes are free to tour with the exception of five Dream Homes for charity. Visitors are asked to pay a $5 admission to the BATC-Housing First Minnesota Foundation to enter. Dream Homes include:
    • #10 by Zawadski Homes, Inc. in Lake Elmo
    • #66 Custom One Homes in Woodbury
    • #154 Distinctive Design Build, LLC in Prior Lake
    • #181 Stackhouse Construction, LLC in Edina
    • #232 Swanson Homes in Medina

A free, comprehensive guidebook provides complete information about the tour, including direction, descriptions, and images of all the homes, and will be available at area Holiday Stationstores beginning Aug. 26, 2019

  • A comprehensive companion website offers a variety of search filters plus additional information about each builder at ParadeofHomes.org. Online visitors can use the Tour Planner to map routes between selected homes and save and share homes of interest with family and friends.
  • Editorial in the guidebook includes our cover story on a real family’s homebuilding experience, a calendar for special Parade of Homes events, home design inspiration, and new construction tips and information.
  • More than 250 homes on this fall’s tour were tested by an independent energy rater and have been assigned a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rating. These homes can show visitors a Green Path Home Performance Report (HPR) that graphically explains the home’s energy test results and allow homebuyers to compare expected energy use between homes.
  • The lowest-priced home is #355 at $238,144. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is located in Cambridge and is built by Semler Construction, Inc.
  • The most expensive home is #185 at $3,000,000. This 6,125-square-foot home is located in Minnetonka and is built by City Homes, LLC.
  • There are 33 homes priced over $1,000,000 and 12 priced $300,000 or under. The total value of all homes on the tour is $238,135,871.
  • Homes are located throughout the region, with Lakeville (31), Lake Elmo (23), and Woodbury (19) having the most homes to tour. Closer in, Edina (9), Brooklyn Park (4), and St. Paul (1) are all represented on the tour. Outlying cities with Parade Homes include Zimmerman, Northfield, Waverly, and New Richmond, WI.
