  • The Fall Parade of Homes is presented by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) and features 390 new homes to tour in this, the 67th consecutive Fall tour.
  • Homes are open September 12th through October 4th , Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 6:00 pm.
  • All the homes are free to tour with the exception of four Dream Homes that each request a $5.00 donation to the BATC Foundation to enter.
  • Two Dream Homes are in Edina: #33 by Carl M. Hansen Companies, priced at $2,199,000; and #34 by John Kraemer & Sons, priced at $1,950,000. The other two Dream Homes are located in Wayzata: #87 is built by Lecy Bros. Homes & Remodeling, priced at $1,895,000; and #88 by Jyland Construction Management is priced at $3,750,000.
  • A comprehensive Guidebook provides complete information about the tour, including maps and photos or illustrations of all the homes, and will be available, free of charge, at area Holiday Stationstores beginning on August 28th.
  • For more in-depth searches and information about each builder, the website, www.ParadeofHomes.org, is both easy to use and convenient. An interconnected mobile site lets smart phone and tablet users access the same information.
  • Online visitors can use the Trip Planner to map a route between selected homes (and later access them via their mobile device), and find inspiration using the new photo gallery (with over 4,000 interior and exterior home images) and the interactive Personal Designers to change colors and finishes on a variety of photos, then save them to their own Idea Gallery to share.
  • Editorial in the Guidebook includes an Outdoor Living feature that provides trends for outdoor spaces, plus a chance to win a catered backyard BBQ party for 20 (catered by the Rack Shack with guest appearance by Brian Turner (BT), local foodie and radio personality).
  • The Parade of Homes will once again feature the Green Path Energy Tour, sponsored by Xcel Energy. Over 63 percent (246) of the Parade Homes have been tested by an independent energy rater, and have been assigned a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rating. These homes can produce a Home Performance Reports (HPR) that graphically explains the home’s energy test results and allow homebuyers to compare the expected energy use between homes.
  • The lowest priced home is #261 at $184,900. The two-bedroom, one-bath single-family home by Semler Construction is located in Isanti.
  • The most expensive home is Dream Home #88 by Jyland Construction Management, located on two acres in Wayzata, and features over 10,000 square feet of living space. This home also includes an outdoor pool and other outdoor living features.
  • There are a total of 43 homes priced over $1,000,000 and 32 priced under $300,000. The total value of all homes on the tour is $237,553,461.
  • Homes are located throughout the region, with Blaine (27); Lakeville (28); Plymouth (25) and Woodbury (21) having the most homes to tour. Closer in, Minneapolis, St. Louis Park and Roseville are all represented on the tour, with Edina coming in at 12 homes. Outlying cities include Faribault, Buffalo, Zimmerman, Cologne and Big Lake.
