• The Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase is presented by the professional members of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC).
• The Remodelers Showcase has been held in the Twin Cities for 26 years.
• The tour runs March 22 through 24, with 63 remodeled homes open Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6:00 pm. A total of 54 professional remodeling firms are participating in the tour.
• All the remodeled homes are free to tour with the exception of two Dream Remodeled Homes that request a $5 donation to the BATC Foundation to enter; they are a teardown #R25 by Copper Creek Ltd., located at 1921 W. Saunders Avenue in St. Paul and #R47, a whole house renovation by Otogawa-Anschel Design-Build at 2105 Humboldt Avenue S. in Minneapolis.
• A comprehensive Guidebook includes information including maps and photos or illustrations of all the remodeling projects, and is available, free of charge, at area Holiday Stationstores. Four families share their real remodeling experiences in the guidebook.
• Four remodeling projects on the tour have been certified by Minnesota’s Green PathSM. This energy and green building program begins with an energy audit and ends with each receiving a Home Performance Report (HPR). The HPR will define all of the energy and green features included in the remodeling work.
• Online tour planning is at the comprehensive website, www.ParadeofHomes.org. The new integrated mobile site at m.ParadeofHomes.org provides most of the same searches in an easy-to-read platform for smart phones and tablets.
• Visitors can plan to include 14 events held during the tour. The events range from wine tours (sip while seeing the project) to kitchen design workshops.
• Homes are located throughout the region, with the most located in Minneapolis (14) and Edina (9).
• Projects range from kitchens (60) and additions (18) to whole house remodels (13), basements (5) and baths (12).
