• The Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase is presented by the professional members of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC).
• The Remodelers Showcase has been held in the Twin Cities for 27 years.
• The tour runs March 28-30, 2014, with 73 remodeled homes open Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6:00 pm. A total of 63 professional remodeling firms are participating in the tour.
• All the remodeled homes are free to tour with the exception of two Dream Remodeled Homes that request a $5 donation to the BATC Foundation to enter. The two Dream Remodeled homes are both located in St. Paul, #R49 by Vujovich Design Build and #R51 by Klein Design & Build.
• The BATC Foundation’s latest project, a Universal Design Home constructed for Zack Mohs, a young man severely injured in a hit-and-run accident, will be open to tour during regular Remodelers Showcase hours on March 29th and 30th. A Barn Raisings effort is currently underway to help raise funds, details here.
• A comprehensive Guidebook includes descriptive information, maps and photos or illustrations of all the remodeling projects, and is available, free of charge, at area Holiday Stationstores.
• Guidebook readers can learn about two families’ remodeling experiences, get tips on saving energy in their own homes plus see the latest trends in design and décor.
• Online tour planning is at the comprehensive website, www.ParadeofHomes.org. The integrated mobile site at m.ParadeofHomes.org provides all of the same searches in an easy-to-read platform for smart phones and tablets. And the Digital Magazine link lets them read the Guidebook online.
• Visitors can include over a dozen events to their itinerary that will be held during the tour.
• Homes are located in 30 cities across the region, with the most located in Minneapolis and Edina, each with 11.
• Projects range from kitchens (all but eight homes have had some work done in the kitchen) additions (16) to whole house remodels (15), owners’ suites (10), and lower levels (8).
