- The Spring Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase is presented by the professional remodeler members of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC).
- The Remodelers Showcase has been held in the Twin Cities for 29 years, and is designed to allow people to tour real remodeling projects across the region.
- The tour runs March 18-20, 2016, with 57 remodeled homes open Friday, March 18th from 1:00 to 7:00 pm and from noon to 6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 19th and 20th. A total of 45 professional remodeling firms are participating in the tour.
- All the remodeled homes are free to tour with the exception of three Artisan Dream Remodeled Homes that request a $5 donation to the BATC Foundation. All three are whole house remodels: #R29 by Xpand, Inc. is located in Orono; #R33 by AMEK Custom Homes is in Wayzata; and #R45 is an Edina home renovated by Oslo Builders.
- A comprehensive Guidebook includes descriptive information, maps and photos or illustrations of all the remodeling projects, and is available, free of charge, at area Holiday Stationstores.
- Guidebook editorial includes a cover feature about the real remodeling experience from local Wit & Delight Blogger, Kate Arends Peters. Two more families tell the story of their remodeled homes, and can be seen on the tour (#R39 and #R40). Tips about remodeling, energy saving, and design trends are included, as is a calendar of events for visitors to enjoy.
- Online tour planning can be found at the comprehensive website, www.ParadeofHomes.org. The integrated mobile site at m.ParadeofHomes.org provides all of the same searches in an easy-to-read platform for smart phones and tablets. And the Digital Magazine link lets them read the Guidebook online.
- Homes are located in 25 cities across the region, with the most located in Edina and Minneapolis (9 each).
- Projects range from kitchens (47) and additions (14) to bathrooms (27) and lower levels (10). Exteriors, family rooms, bedrooms and offices plus seven whole house remodels offer something for everyone to see.
