In its 27th year, the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) is proud to present the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase. This fall visitors can tour 61 gorgeous remodeled homes on September 26th from 1:00 to 7:00 pm and September 27-28 from noon to 6:00 pm. Entry to all the homes is free with the exception of one Dream Remodeled Homes that requests a $5 donation to support the BATC Foundation.

The comprehensive Guidebook again features all of the homes with maps and information, plus editorial including our cover feature, which tells the story of Marnie, a remarkable young woman who remodeled her home after losing her husband to ALS. The Guidebook also includes an outdoor living focus to celebrate the completion of the KARE 11 Backyard by BATC and its member partners. The KARE 11 Backyard is open for visitors (#R11) to tour on Saturday, September 27th from noon to 4:00 pm. Guidebooks are available at area Holiday Stationstores now.

The BATC Foundation Dream Remodeled Home is an amazing stone residence adjacent to the historic James J. Hill historic farm in North Oaks. The MN Green Path Advanced Certified green home also boasts a gorgeous outdoor living room. Visitors pay a $5 donation to tour, which helps the Foundation continue to build and remodel homes for area families in need. The Dream Remodeled home is #R16 by Bob Michels Construction.

Guidebook readers can learn more about the BATC Foundation and their latest projects in partnership with Special Spaces —Minneapolis. With the help of design/build partners, Che Bella Interiors and Bob Michels Construction, two adorable children (Eli is currently in remission from Acute Lymphatic Leukemia, and Kate the Great was born with Type 2 Pheiffer Syndrome) received fun bedroom makeovers.

Online, Tablet and Smart Phone Access

The comprehensive website at www.ParadeofHomes.org includes all the entries easily searchable on the map or by remodeler name or project type. The Trip Planner maps routes between homes, and interconnected company pages provide more information about the remodeling firm. The mobile site at m.Paradeofhomes.org is fully integrated with the full site, and lets smart phone and tablet users search for remodeled homes, learn more about remodelers and take advantage of the Trip Planner. You can also view the entire guidebook online by using our Digital magazine link on the home page.

Projects of All Types

The remodeled homes on tour feature virtually every type of remodeling. Kitchens remain the most popular project on the tour, with all but ten homes including at least some work in the kitchen. Visitors can see 19 additions, 16 baths, 12 remodeled lower levels, seven whole house remodels and two teardowns. There are historic renovations and plenty of modern updates to tour, all featuring the latest and most innovative finishes, colors and styles.

Remodeled Homes Located Across the Extended Metro Area

Much of the Twin Cities is represented in this Fall’s Remodelers Showcase, with homes located in 28 cities across the metro region. There are ten remodeled homes in Minneapolis and nine in Edina. Woodbury has four homes, while Eagan, Maple Grove and Stillwater have three each.
Other remodeled homes located as far out as Carver, Prior Lake, White Bear Lake and Excelsior. Closer in are homes in Bloomington, Roseville, Shoreview, St. Louis Park and St. Paul.

BATC represents 1,100 builders, remodelers, developers and industry suppliers with a mission of helping its members grow their businesses through marketing, advocacy and industry connections.
