Featuring 19 Artisan Quality New Homes and Two Remodeled Homes
The Builders Association of the Twin Cities’ (BATC) ticketed, high-end home event, the Artisan Home Tour, is set to open for its fourth season on June 9th. This year, the Tour features 19 artisan-quality new homes open from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm on June 9-10-11; 16-17-18; and 23-24-25. And, two artisan-quality remodeled homes will be open the final weekend, June 23-24-25 only.
Homes that are showcased on the Artisan Home Tour have each been designed and constructed with the highest level of architectural integrity, top quality craftsmanship and exceptionally high finish level. These million-dollar-plus residences from the region’s most exclusive home builders and remodelers also feature today’s most popular designs, materials, accessories and colors.
Tickets
A TourTicket (good for all homes) or a single-visit ticket is required for entry into the homes. TourTickets can be purchased at area Bachman’s at a discounted rate of $20. TourTickets can also be purchased online at ArtisanHomeTour.org for $25, or at the door of any home on the tour for $30. Discount coupons are also available at all area Holiday Stationstores for redemption online or at any Artisan Home. For those interested in just visiting one or two individual homes, single-visit tickets are available for $5 at the door.
A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to the BATC Foundation. Donations help the Foundation continue its work building and remodeling homes for families in need. Projects in 2017 include a new single-family home designated as transitional housing for Veterans and a special basement space for a girl with medical issues.
Details, Photos, Maps
All the homes on tour are featured online at ArtisanHomeTour.org, in the accompanying mobile app, Parade Craze, and in the comprehensive Artisan Home Tour Guidebook.
The Artisan Home Tour Guidebook is direct mailed to 80,000 high-income households in the Twin Cities region, including about half that will be polybagged with the Summer issue of Artful Living Magazine. Guidebooks can be picked up at Bachman’s ticket locations, and an e-book version is viewable online at ArtisanHomeTour.org.
Downloading the Parade Craze app provides complete tour information on your personal phone or tablet. In addition to providing an easy-to-use, online ticketing application, the mobile app allows visitors to view homes (including photos) map out their tour route, plus rate and comment on the homes they tour.
Homes Concentrated in the Western Suburbs and Lakes Area
As you might expect, the majority of the region’s most exclusive homes tend to be built around the Lakes or in Edina. The 2017 Artisan Home Tour is no exception. Ten of the homes are located around Lake Minnetonka (three in Minnetrista, two each in Orono and Wayzata, and one each in Excelsior, Victoria and Minnetonka Beach), two are in Prior Lake, and the remaining seven are located in Edina. Remodeled homes are in Excelsior and Edina.
Homes in a Variety of Styles
Architecturally, the Artisan Homes range from traditional to contemporary, from modern farmhouse to classic shingle style. There are even two grand Wayzata condominiums that showcase the luxury attached-home lifestyle.
Designed to make life comfortable and gracious, Artisan Homes include details and features that assure each family’s lifestyle is at center stage. Technology is a core feature in many of the homes, including several with smartphone controls. Fun is also maximized with sport courts, exercise rooms, wine cellars and lots of fun kids’ play spaces.
Rustic, natural finishes remain popular, with reclaimed wood beams, a barn door or two, and in almost all cases, main levels floored in gorgeous wood. Many homes include sleek contemporary finishes to add a touch of class, whether setting off a rustic design theme or revealing a clever techno-chic sentiment.
All the Artisan Homes boast layouts that speak to the way families live today. Kitchens offer top-line appliances and uniquely beautiful finishes, with conveniences at every turn. Indoor to outdoor transitions are thoughtfully planned with features like screen porches, decks, patios, outdoor kitchens, pools, ponds and fountains.
Minnesota’s Green Path Artisan Homes
For those interested in energy efficiency and green, five of the homes have gone through MN Green Path energy testing, with one earning an Advanced Green Path certification (#17, Sustainable 9 Design Build). Each will have a Green Path Home Performance Report available to show testing results and green features.
Wine and Beer Tasting
Every Friday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, visitors will be able to taste wines from Artisan beverage partners Bronco Wine Company (June 9th) and Breakthru Beverage (June 23rd) or beer from Flat Earth Brewing Company (June 16th).
Produced by BATC
As with all Parade of Homes events, every home on the tour has been built by a member of BATC. Each BATC member must sign a code of ethics and has access to valuable resources and information to support their business.
REALTOR® Open
Licensed REALTORS® are invited to tour the new Artisan Homes on Friday, June 16th any time during open hours, free of charge with the presentation of their business card.
Look Book Coming
During the tour, all the Artisan Homes will be professionally photographed by Landmark Photography. Photos will be included in an Artisan Home Tour Look Book published this fall, distributed in the Fall issue of partner, Artful Living Magazine, and online in e-magazine format at ArtisanHomeTour.org.
