Housing First Minnesota, the leading voice for housing in Minnesota, announced a five-year contract extension for its CEO, James Vagle, today. The extension, approved unanimously by the Housing First Executive Board of Directors, reflects the continued growth and momentum of the organization under Vagle’s leadership.
Since 2022, Vagle has led Housing First Minnesota through a period of robust expansion, achieving strong revenue growth, increased focus on housing and homeownership policy discussion, rapid expansion of its nation-leading home tours, and a surge in philanthropic growth with the Housing First Minnesota Foundation.
“James Vagle has brought strategic vision, innovative thinking, and a deep commitment to Housing First Minnesota,” said Tim Fohr, Board Chair of Housing First Minnesota. “His leadership over the past three years has not only driven significant progress for our association but has also strengthened our foundation for the future, ensuring our members and partners are well-positioned to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.”
Looking ahead, Vagle and his team will focus on expanding the growing coalition to modernize housing policies in Minnesota. Housing First Minnesota also intends to work on strengthening community connections through home tours, philanthropic efforts, and thought leadership to support homeownership opportunities for all Minnesotans.
