The Housing First Minnesota Foundation with build partner Lennar will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to launch their latest charitable project in Bloomington—the construction of another brand-new home that will be donated to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). The four-bedroom home will help MACV address a pressing need, housing for veterans who are experiencing homelessness.

Please join representatives of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation/HomeAid Twin Cities, Lennar, the City of Bloomington HRA and MACV as we kick off this very important build project that will provide a much needed home for Minnesota veterans.

WHEN: Monday, Oct. 21, 2019 at 1 p.m.

LOCATION: 9416 Penn Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55431

WHO: There will be several organizations participating and making remarks during the groundbreaking ceremony including representatives from the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, build partner Lennar, MACV and Bloomington city officials.

WHAT: The Housing First Minnesota Foundation and build partner Lennar will be building a new, four-bedroom, single-family home that will be owned and operated by MACV. The lot for the home was provided to the Housing First Minnesota Foundation by the City of Bloomington’s HRA as part of its mission to serve homeless veterans. The home will be used to house male veterans experiencing homelessness. While in the home, residents work with MACV case managers to overcome their housing, employment and legal barriers. This critical program gives homeless veterans the support and confidence to once again find success.
