First-of-its-kind build project aims to support and honor our nation’s heroes

Housing First Minnesota FoundationLennarMinnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and key project partners will break ground on Veteran Village, a first-of-its-kind housing initiative in Eagan designed to bring an effective end to veteran homelessness in Minnesota.

Thanks to the support of the city of Eagan and the Eagan community, Veteran Village represents Minnesota’s first dedicated multi-unit housing community built specifically to support veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This $5.5 million project will feature 22 homes and provide safe, stable shelter for up to 36 veterans and their families.

This first-of-its-kind, multi-unit community is a transformative partnership between the Housing First Minnesota Foundation; Presenting Build Partner, Lennar; the Lennar Foundation; the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV); and Premier Build Partner, Pulte Homes of Minnesota, LLC.

Since 2017, the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, in partnership with MACV, Lennar and support from countless housing industry leaders, has developed more than 39,500 square feet of veteran-focused housing across the state. Veteran Village marks the largest and most ambitious effort to date.
