Unique partnership to address housing needs of Minnesota veterans

The Housing First Minnesota FoundationLennar, and Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) are again partnering to build a Housing for Heroes home for Minnesotan veterans experiencing homelessness.

The home, located in St. Paul, will be the 15th Housing for Heroes build project in partnership between the three organizations.

Please join representatives of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, build partner Lennar, and service provider MACV as we break ground on this important community build project to provide stable, transitional housing for Minnesota veterans in need.

  • When: Today, Monday, April 21, 2025, at 11 am
  • Where: 896 Cottage Ave E, St. Paul, MN 55106
  • What: A groundbreaking ceremony for a community build project that will result in a 3-bedroom home and backyard accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in St. Paul, providing Minnesota veterans with housing.

These homes are part of the Housing for Heroes initiative, which addresses veteran homelessness by offering safe, stable, and dignified housing solutions. This soon-to-be home represents a significant step in the ongoing efforts to ensure that no Veteran in Minnesota goes without a place to call home.

The Housing First Minnesota Foundation is honored to be a part of this impact. Ultimately, the goal of the partnership is to see veteran homelessness in Ramsey County and greater Minnesota reach its effective end.
