Over 400 members of the housing industry will rally at the Capitol to promote homeownership and housing affordability on Wednesday, March 14 as part of Housing Day at the Capitol. Members of both BATC-Housing First Minnesota and the Minnesota REALTORS® will meet with over 150 lawmakers on key issues facing the housing industry, which include housing affordability, tax conformity and workforce challenges.

When: Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 11 – 6 p.m.

Where: Minnesota State Capitol and InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront

Background: Homeownership strengthens our communities and provides stability for families. A recent survey showed that 84 percent of Minnesotans believe that owning a home is central to the American dream. We must take a hard look at the cost divers that are having a serious impact on housing affordability.
