Roseville, MN (March 24, 2016) – Results from a recent survey by the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) show that Lennar – Minneapolis/St. Paul was the region’s top ranked builder once again in 2015. Lennar has held the top spot since 2006. Rankings are based on annual gross revenue as reported by respondents for for-sale housing. Lennar reported gross revenue at $233 million for 442 single family and 60 multi-family homes (502 total) closed in the 2015 calendar year.

Following Lennar, the top ten home builders were CalAtlantic Homes (formerly Ryland Homes), with over $150 million in revenue and 381 housing units closed, followed by the PulteGroup with revenue of almost $144 million and 292 units, D.R. Horton, Inc. with $124 million revenue and 263 housing units, Mattamy Homes at $109 million and 295 units, K. Hovnanian Homes of MN, LLC with $94.5 million and 241 units, Hanson Builders, Inc. with $66.4 million and 91 units, Robert Thomas Homes, Inc. with $62.7 million and 124 units, Gonyea Homes, Inc. with $60.5 million and 63 units and M/I Homes (formerly Hans Hagen Homes) with $44 million and 117 units.
Rankings are based on information provided by survey respondents. Respondent information is believed to be reliable. Each company has verified information to the best degree possible. Commercial construction firms building rental or senior housing were not included in this ranking. Fieldstone Family Homes, Inc., Streeter & Associates, Stonewood, CBS Services, JMS Custom Homes, Toll Brothers, Mark of Excellence, John Kraemer & Sons, Wooddale Builders, which according to Keystone Reports data, may have been included in the top 25, declined to participate.
