The Parade of Homes, the largest home tour event in the nation, is pleased to announce the launch of the Parade of Homes First-Time Homebuyer $10K Giveaway in conjunction with its spring event. First-time homebuyers who meet the giveaway qualifications can enter the $10K down payment giveaway now through April 10 to win $10,000 toward their first home.
For so many Minnesotans, the prospect of owning a home is tantalizingly close and within their means, but day-to-day expenses prevent them from saving enough to secure that initial down payment. Their dream of homeownership is just out of reach.
To help these hardworking Minnesotans buy their very first home, Housing First Minnesota and its Parade of Homes are launching a down payment assistance drawing and giveaway.
“The Parade of Homes First-Time Homebuyer $10K Giveaway is part of our continued commitment to expanding the opportunity for homeownership for everyone, everywhere in our state,” said David Siegel, executive director of Housing First Minnesota, the presenter of the Parade of Homes. “Owning a home has unmatched, positive impacts on the lives of Minnesotans. Research shows homeowners enjoy tremendous health benefits, greater community engagement, better educational outcomes and unparalleled opportunities for generational wealth creation. It is essential that we do more to help Minnesotans achieve the dream of homeownership.”
Entrants into the contest must be first-time homebuyers, meet income qualifications, buy a home in the qualifying price range and close on their first home within 12 months of the contest drawing.
In total, four recipients will be randomly selected after the contest closes on April 10. All entries to the contest must be made online at ParadeofHomes.org now through April 10.
The Spring Parade of Homes tour event kicks off on March 12 and runs through April 10.
Who is eligible to win?
- First-time homebuyers and those that have not owned a home or residential property in the last five years.
- Buyers who meet the $10K Giveaway contest’s household income requirements.
- Buyers who are currently in the homebuying market who will close on a new or existing home within the 12-month period following the contest drawing.
- Entrants will choose between the new home and existing home contest when they enter.
How do consumers sign up?
- The $10K Giveaway entry form is available online only at ParadeofHomes.org.
- Sweepstakes entry ends April 10, 2022 at 6PM CST.
Recipients will be randomly drawn the week of April 18-22 and will be contacted by a Housing First Minnesota representative.
