ROSEVILLE, MINN. (September 2020) —Housing First Minnesota’s ticketed, high-end home event, the Artisan Home Tour, is set to open for its seventh season on Oct. 9. This year, the tour features 14 incredible new homes open from 11 a.m-5 p.m. on Oct. 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25. Plus, eight artisan-quality remodeled homes will be open the final weekend, Oct. 23-25. COVID-19 safety precautions will be taken at each home to ensure the experience is safe for all.

Homes that are showcased on the Artisan Home Tour have each been designed and constructed with the highest level of architectural integrity, top-quality craftsmanship and exceptionally high finish level. These multi-million-dollar residences from the region’s most exclusive homebuilders and remodelers also feature today’s most popular designs, materials, accessories and colors.

Tickets

A Tour Ticket (good for all homes) or a single-visit ticket is required for entry into the homes. Tour Tickets can be purchased at area Bachman’s at a discounted rate of $20. Tour Tickets can also be purchased online at ArtisanHomeTour.org or in the Artisan Home Tour app for $25, or at the door of any home on the tour for $30. Discount coupons are also available at all area Holiday Stationstores for redemption online or at any Artisan home. For those interested in just visiting one or two homes, single-visit tickets are available for $5 at the door and online. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time to reduce contact at the homes.

The Artisan Home Tour helps to support the work of the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization composed of Housing First Minnesota members and supporters who contribute their time, materials and expertise to help the Foundation build and remodel safe housing for Minnesota’s homeless, veterans and others in need. Recent projects include an apartment renovation for women going through addiction recovery and two new homes designated as transitional housing for veterans in need.

Details, Photos, Maps

All the homes on tour are featured online at ArtisanHomeTour.org, in the Artisan Home Tour mobile app and in the comprehensive Artisan Home Tour guidebook.

The Artisan Home Tour guidebook is direct mailed to 80,000 households in the Twin Cities region, including about half that will be mailed with the fall issue of Artful Living magazine. Guidebooks can be picked up at Bachman’s ticket locations, and a digital version is available online at ArtisanHomeTour.org.

Downloading the Artisan Home Tour app provides complete tour information on your phone. In addition to providing an easy-to-use, online ticketing application that minimizes contact at the homes, the mobile app allows visitors to view home photos as they become available, map out their tour route, and rate and comment on the homes they tour.

Homes Across the Metro

The majority of the homes are concentrated in the western suburbs, but homes are found all across the metro area, from Hudson, WI to Buffalo. New Homes are located in Shakopee (1), Edina (1), Minnetonka Beach (1), Orono (3), Independence (1), Medina (1), Plymouth (1), Wayzata (1), Buffalo (1), Grant (2) and Sunfish Lake (1).

Remodeled homes are located in Hudson, WI (1), St. Paul (1), Minneapolis (2), Edina (1), Lakeville (1), Deephaven (1) and Minnetrista (1). These eight homes are open the last weekend of the tour.

A Variety of Styles

From Mediterranean to contemporary and everything in between, the Artisan homes run the entire gamut of styles. Designed to make life comfortable and gracious, Artisan homes include details and features that assure each family’s lifestyle is at center stage. High-end kitchens showcase top-of-the-line appliances and unique custom finishes. The latest technology is a core feature in many of the homes, including several that are fully automated. Indoor to outdoor transitions are thoughtfully planned with features like screen porches, terraces, outdoor kitchens and more.

Health & Safety

The safety and well-being of our attendees, builders, and partners is our top priority. For that reason, we moved the Artisan Home Tour from June to October this year. To provide a safe and enjoyable event, we will be following all CDC, federal, and state recommendations regarding COVID-19.

While visiting the homes, please follow these guidelines for your safety and the safety of those around you:

  • If you are sick, stay home. Contact the builder for options on setting up a private showing or virtual tour at a later date.
  • Masks are required for all attendees.
  • Foot coverings/booties will be required for all attendees. Socks without coverings and shoes will not be allowed.
  • The number of people allowed in the home at one time will be limited. If the home is full, please wait until you are notified that it’s acceptable to enter.
  • Maintain 6 feet of separation while waiting to enter the home and within the home as your tour. This may require waiting to enter a hallway or a room until the people ahead of you have left the area. Thank you for your consideration and patience.
  • Do not open cabinet doors and do not touch surfaces.
  • We encourage you download the Artisan Home Tour app and purchase your ticket online to minimize contact at the homes.

Produced by Housing First Minnesota

As with all Parade of Homes events, every home on the tour has been built by a member of Housing First Minnesota. Each member must sign a code of ethics and has access to valuable resources and information to support their business.

Look Book Coming

During the tour, all the Artisan homes will be professionally photographed by Landmark Photography. Photos will be included in an Artisan Home Tour Look Book published this winter and distributed with the winter issue of Artful Living magazine and online at ArtisanHomeTour.org.
