ROSEVILLE, MINN. (Feb. 2020) — Housing First Minnesota is proud to present the Spring 2020 Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase which is designed to connect area homeowners with remodelers. The tour lets families see real remodeling projects and learn how remodeling can help them remain in their community when their homes no longer fit their needs.
This spring, visitors can tour 50 remodeled homes by 41 professional remodeling companies April 3-5 from 12-6 p.m. The public is welcome to tour all the homes free of charge, except for three Remodeled Dream Homes that include a $5 admission to support the Housing First Minnesota Foundation.
Guidebook Features all 50 Homes and More
The comprehensive magazine-style guidebook features photos, directions and descriptions for all the homes to help visitors plan their tour. Guidebooks are free and can be picked up at any area Holiday Stationstore. There are also a variety of interesting articles to read for inspiration and information.
The guidebook shares the remodeling journey of real Minnesotans. There’s a calendar of events that several remodelers are hosting during the tour and design ideas and tips.
Dream Homes Benefit Housing First Minnesota’s Charitable Arm
A $5 contribution from visitors who tour our Remodeled Dream Homes helps the Housing First Foundation build and remodel homes and facilities for those in need. This spring’s Remodeled Dream Homes are three stunning remodels: #R15 from JKath Design Build + Reinvent in Edina, #R16 Sustainable 9 Design + Build in Edina and #R25 from Showcase Renovations, Inc. in Golden Valley.
New App & Website Make Touring Even Easier
The comprehensive website at www.ParadeofHomes.org makes planning a tour a breeze. The site includes all 50 remodeled projects easily searchable by location, remodeler and project type. Integrated company pages provide more information about each remodeling firm. And there’s a link to the guidebook in digital form. There’s also the Tour Planner which can combine new and remodeled tour homes, offers multiple tour routes and works directly from a mobile device.
A brand-new Parade of Homes app allows visitors to save favorite homes, map routes seamlessly, track home features in the Idea Book, and search builders and remodelers. The app is available under Parade of Homes Minnesota in both the App Store and Google Play store and includes all 50 remodeled homes on the Remodelers Showcase.
Projects of All Types
Bathroom and kitchen renovations remain the top two most popular projects on the tour, with 41 new kitchens, 26 new bathrooms, and 20 main-level remodels. There are gorgeous new bedrooms, mudrooms, offices, exteriors, porches and decks to tour, all showing the latest in design, materials, products and construction techniques from the region’s best professional remodelers.
Remodeled Homes Located Across the Extended Metro Area
Much of the Twin Cities is represented in this spring’s Remodelers Showcase, with homes located in 22 cities across the metro region. Cities with the most homes are Edina (10), Minneapolis (8), and Bloomington and Eden Prairie (4).
