ROSEVILLE, MINN. (August 15, 2012) — The Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) is the organization that has presented the Parade of Homes for 64 years.
The non-profit trade association brings together builders and remodelers of all sizes and types, suppliers, sub-contractors, vendors and manufacturers, all with the same goal — to maintain a vibrant marketplace for Twin Cities families to choose the home, the builder, the remodeler that works best for them.
Since the late 1920s, the builders association’s mission has been to improve the professionalism of its members. Today that tradition continues. All of the builders and remodelers showing their work on the Parade of Homes and Parade of Homes Remodeler Showcase are true professionals. Every member has signed an ethics agreement to be admitted to our association. And, should a dispute with a customer arise, every BATC member agrees to participate in mediation at no charge to the client.
“I joined BATC over 30 years ago, and know how much my membership has helped me serve my clients better,” says 2012 BATC President and owner of Lee Lyn Construction, Curt Christensen. “As a member, I’ve discovered new ideas, better products, and more affordable vendors…all helping me build the homes my customers want as efficiently and affordably as possible.”
Representing over 1,000 member companies, BATC is the leading voice for builders and remodelers through the marketing efforts of the Parade of Homes and Remodelers Showcase, but also through advocacy work at the state, regional and local level. BATC helps educate legislators and government officials about the market realities of residential construction and development, with the goal of ensuring Twin Cities families have access to quality, durable and affordable housing, today and into the future.
